Shaman Farm and Falls

The place

Winter is the season to go deep

, 2 min read

Panchakanya Jharna runs fullest through the monsoon months (June–September); October–November brings clearer skies and fewer crowds.

The quieter winter months are their own kind of good — cold clear air, low light, the falls near enough to yourself. If you're coming for the sound bath rather than the crowd, winter is the season to go deep.

Like any hillside above Panauti, the land turns with the seasons: green and full through the warm months, clearer and quieter as the year draws toward winter.

A kettle on, low seating in the shade, and the water always within earshot. Come for the day, or stay the night.

The falls

Why the falls will always be free

Panchakanya Waterfall is government property, free today and always. What Shaman Farm and Falls builds sits around that free wonder, never on top of it.

Getting here

Getting here from Kathmandu

Roughly 40–45 km from Kathmandu via the Arniko Highway and Banepa to Panauti, then the last unpaved stretch toward Roshi. Direct buses run from Ratna Park.
